Difference In Destruction (MEDC/LEDC)
The main difference in the way MEDC's and LEDC's suffer tectonic disasters is the difference in the extend of their development. The higher the buildings, the further they have to fall. In MEDC's the sky-scraper buildings pose a massive risk for falling in a earthquake, crushing everyone and everything underneath it, but because of the advancement in technology, many people are often saved during an eruption due to the predictions and monitoring of the certain volcanoes. MEDC disasters tend to be more building destruction than people dying.
In LEDC's however, it is the opposite. Due to the less developed state of the country, buildings are not as likely to fall on people as they are not as high and not as dangerous, but as health services are not as well-funded many more people die due to sickness and minor injuries. Pyroclastic flow and lava bombs are more likely to spread further and end many more peoples lives due to the fact that there is no buildings in the way to stop it.
